What Ana Davis, Director of `Bliss Baby Yoga` says about Shivani

“I happened upon Shivani’s Venus Yoga classes on a recent holiday in Bali. Her classes were deep and healing, a unique blend of various modalites that really works! She creates a space that honors the feminine and allows each student to feel open and comfortable. Her teaching and knowledge is obviously grounded in years of research and personal integration. Not to be missed!”

ABOUT ME

I love exploring and conversing all things taboo about women and wellness. I believe that all styles of yoga in our current culture have their positive offerings BUT I believe few allow women to really tap into all levels(physical, emotional and spiritual) of their feminine power. For the last 14 years I have sought out the best teachers, techniques and tools in India, China, Japan and Bali to help us women reconnect with our powerful essence. This is how I came to create Venus Yoga.

I was born and raised in Australia. I lived in Japan for a decade. I lived in Bali for a year. I have stopped breathing ( I was a severe asthmatic). I have stopped walking ( I had severe scoliosis). I know the pain of death ( I lost my husband and best friend through divorce). I know we can love and be loved again ( I remarried). I am just starting to experience the joys of unconditional love (I just became a mother). I received my name, Shivani, in Pune India at the Osho International Meditation Resort. Shivani means sacred woman. It inspires my mission to remind all women that they are sacred.

A LONG TIME AGO…

I studied international politics and law. I was an assistant TV director. For 8 amazing years I worked on stage and on TV as a reporter, MC and as a singing and dancing actress in creative productions in Japan. I am also a trained massage therapist and International Hado (resonance and water) Educator. My past life links to my current life in my love for everything that is not confined by borders, barriers and the body. This is why I am passionate about yoga and living in a way that honors the goddess within.

MY MISSION IS…

To share with women around the world the best techniques and experiences to unlock feminine power through yoga that has female roots (not just male based hatha yoga!). Venus Yoga is not a style of yoga but an offering. It is a magnificent tool box of experiences that will help you live with greater health, happiness and foxiness as a woman.
